Presentation Guideline for Oral Presentation & Preparing of Visuals (updated 07 October 2019)

The duration of every oral presentation is 15 minutes (12 minute presentation + 3 minute Q&A). A LCD projector and 1 laptop will be available in every session room for lecture presentation. The projector has a VGA connection. Presenters are allowed to bring their own laptops and directly connect them to the projector. Please note that the projector only accept VGA input.

To ensure a smooth event, Presenters are requested to email their presentation slides to ifeec2019@gmail.com by 15 November 2019.To avoid software compatibility problems (MS PowerPoint), speakers are advised to save their slides in PowerPoint (.ppt, .pptx) or PDF formats. All content (slides / videos) should be in 16:9 format, to fit the screens provided. A presentation template is provided. Click HERE to download the Presentation Template.

As a backup, Presenters are reminded to bring along a UBS stick containing their latest slides and inform the room officer if there are changes to your submitted slides (sent in earlier by 15 November). Files can be uploaded to the laptops on site during the breaks between the sessions.

Presenters should arrive at the session room 15 minutes PRIOR TO the beginning of their session to report to the Session chair. Please prepare a short biography (1 paragraph, printed or written) for the Session chair to introduce the Presenter.

Presentation Guideline for Poster Presentation & Preparing of Visuals (updated 15 October 2019)

Poster presentation is intended for rapid communication. As such, keep the text to minimum, emphasize on images and graphs. Determine the key points of your paper and design the poster to reflect them. A visual flow based design (for example, use of arrows or block diagrams) is recommended.

Each poster will be displayed on Poster Panels. Please only use A1 size paper in the portrait orientation to prepare posters. Click HERE to download the Poster Template. Please print the Poster and bring the Poster to the Conference venue

The poster should be clearly visible 1.5m away from the panel and Poster Presenters must select the font sizes accordingly.

We recommend you to prepare for a 5 minute description of your work, which can be repeatedly used for various attendees. Your presentation space will be identified by a card with your paper ID number on it. Please display your poster in the morning prior to your Session and standby at your respective space by 1.00pm. All posters must be removed by 6.15pm on the same Poster Session day.
